At approximately 6:46 a.m. on July 2, 2013, the Cass County Sheriff's Office received a report of a robbery at a residence in the Sugar Point area, near Federal Dam. Officers arrived on scene and learned that there had been a home invasion and an assault at the residence.

The victim of the assault reported that 2 males came into his house last night with pistols, assaulted him and stole his truck. Sheriff Tom Burch reports that there are possibly 3 suspects involved; two males that are Native American, over 6 feet tall, thin build, mid to late twenties and one female, unknown descriptors.
