We all go about our day doing the usual jobs, going to work, cleaning the house or shoveling snow. Then we hear news of a friend dealing with a major set back. This friend today happens to be Jane Jewett of Remer. Jane is currently in Rochester fighting Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Se will be undergoing a second stem cell transplant at Mayo Clinic.

Her friends have put benefit buckets around the area, a special account has been established at First National Bank in Remer, Longville, Hackensack and Walker, tickets can be purchased for three beautiful quilts to be given away on March 27 and a bake sale is planned for March 2 at the museum in the Remer Depot from 1 to 4 p.m. The Pub will be holding a benefit fundraiser on Friday, February 22 beginning at 7 p.m. Jane will miss many days of work and along with that, no pay check.
