Gloria worked at various jobs. Between 1943 and 1945 she worked at the Cornelius Company where she assembled Air Compressors that opened up the Bombay doors on B29's. She received a Certificate of Award for efficiency, cooperation and sincere interest that contributed greatly to the production record that earned the company the Army-Navy "E" Award for Excellence in War Production. For one year she worked at J.R. Clark Company running a drill press. Gloria was a very fine seamstress and worked at Munsingwear and also at American Uniform making doctor coats. She worked for a time in Davenport, Iowa at Bob Evans Furriers and then later was employed at Bloomeze Shoe Company in Minneapolis.
Jack and Gloria moved to Longville in 1979 and added on to their cabin and made a comfy little home on Inguadona Lake.
Gloria was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and also a member of V.F.W. Post Auxiliary. She was noted for the beautiful Poppy Wreaths she would make each year for Memorial Day. She was very talented in many crafts and for quite some time, she had a big loom and made many colorful rugs which she shared with family and friends. She especially liked working with ceramics and acrylics.
Gloria was much like her mother and enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She always set a beautiful table and had a very hospitable nature. She was loved and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Freda Lilyquist; her husband, Jack Graham; sisters, Alvina Fanth, Lorraine Secora, Muriel Wheeler; and brothers, Marvin Lilyquist and Eugene Lilyquist.
Gloria is survived by two sisters, Janet Brown and Reva Bethke; and two brothers, Gordon Lilyquist and Clinton Lilyquist; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 10th from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville, MN. Rev. Paul Svingen and Rev. Gloria Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Longville.
