REMER - Gerald "Jerry" Gish, 81, of Remer, Minn., passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Grand Rapids, Minn. He was born March 9, 1930 in Minneapolis. Jerry was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Dunwoody Institute of Minneapolis.

Jerry was a 55 year member IBEW Electricians Union Local 292; former Knights of Columbus Grand Knight; and past president of Northland Remer Lions Club.

Preceded in death by parents, Schuyler and Marjorie Gish; brother, James Gish.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris; and his beloved dog, Susie; sons, David (Christine) and Stephen (Terri); daughters, Jennifer (fiancé, Richard Peterson), Elizabeth (John) Mahn and Amy (Dr. Dave) Andersen; sister-in-law, Shirley Gish; and extended family member, Rudy Cardona; grandchildren, Ashley, Lance, Jaime, Conor, Andrea, Lindsey, Austin, Stephanie, Damien; and 3 great-grandchildren, Rylan, Owen and Avery.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 26 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Remer. Visitation and prayer service was held on Wednesday, July 27, at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, in New Hope, Minn.
