A mass of Christian burial was held at noon on Friday, July 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Gail Ann Waldon was born to Edward and Doris (Brahmer) Waldon on October 20, 1948 in Detroit Lakes, and graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School in 1966. Following graduation, she attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. She returned to Detroit Lakes, where she worked for the Thorwaldson Law Offices and later, for Lakeland Mental Health.
Gail was united in marriage to Mark Eidenschink December 2, 1977 in Detroit Lakes. She worked for Dennis Schurman Law Office and then for Patrick Kenney Law Office until retiring in 2007. The couple moved to Longville, in 2007, fulfilling a life long dream.
Gail had a zest for life and was always ready for a party. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her work and loved doing volunteer work. She was a past regent of Catholic Daughters, was a member of Job's Daughters, a lector at Holy Rosary Church and volunteered with Tossed and Found and the food shelf in Longville.
Surviving Gail are her husband, Mark, of Longville; her birth son, Steven Christianson of Racine, Wis.; a daughter, Dr. Lisa (Richard) Brodersen of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Anthony Eidenschink of Valley City, N.D.; two grandchildren, Donovan and Mya Jo Eidenschink; and two sisters, Nancy Johnson of Detroit Lakes and Pat (John Hall) Kropp of Sauk Rapids, Minn.
Her parents preceded her in death.
