Forty Days for Life
To the Editor,
Forty days of prayer and fasting around the clock will run from Sept. 28 through Nov. 6, with the sole purpose to end abortion
Forty Days grew from a project in a small town in Texas to an international prayer movement. Since 2007, more than 400,000 people have participated; more than 13,000 church congregations of all faiths that have taken part; 4,313 children have been documented spared from abortion and as a result hundreds of men and women have been spared the emotional, spiritual and physical harm of abortion; 53 abortion workers have left the abortion industry; 13 abortion facilities have permanently closed following 40 Days For Life campaigns; and women and men have been encouraged and supported to seek post-abortion recovery help for themselves, friends or family.
The Holy Spirit has prompted many pro-lifers who have never participated in a public display to "step out in faith," believing God that "40 Days for Life" not only saved lives, but has deepened their faith. Churches of all denominations have put differences aside, praying together and believing in one common cause to end abortion and work together to restore family life as God created it to be.[[In-content Ad]]
Now is the time to start organizing your church, women's and men's group, service organizations, prayer groups, friends and neighbors to participate in Walker's campaign that begins September 28th.
The committee especially needs and welcomes the participation of men. Abortion is not just a women's concern. Start now to organize men to pray at the tent especially during the night hours. City security has been most cooperative, the street is well-lit and patrolled and there have been no problems so far.
Pastors may contact the number listed below with concerns or questions.
Let's continue to fast and pray begging God's mercy for country, states, communities and families.
