Elizabeth "Elise" Anderson
b. March 14, 1921 - d. Sept. 21, 2010
Elise was born March 14, 1921, in Marcell, Minn., and raised in the Marcell area. She graduated from Deer River High School and Bemidji Teachers College. She taught in several rural schools including Effie. She married Donald Anderson in 1946 and they lived in Effie for 50 years where they raised four children. She was an active member of the Effie Presbyterian Church and the Effie Legion Auxiliary and participated in many school and civic activities. Elsie and Don traveled extensively all over the US and Europe. Then God and her family were at the center of her life and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Sandy (Ron) Evenson of Cohasset, David (Cheryl) Anderson of Mayer, Sharon (Wes) Waller of Dora Lake, and Ron (Deedee) Anderson of Remer. Siblings Irja Christie, Irene (Honey) Lyytinen, Aileen Kovanen, Matt Huju. Fourteen grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: Husband- Donald D. Anderson, Brothers- Vic Huju Jr. and John Huju Sr. Parents- Victor Huju Sr. and Ilona (Saari) Huju.
Services are on Saturday, September 25th, at 2 p.m. at Bigfork Presbyterian Church and Burial at Bigfork Cementary. With a visitation one hour prior to the service.
