The final regular season game sent the Eagles on the road to face the Bulldogs of Carlton on Wednesday October 16 for the Bulldogs Homecoming Game.

Starting from Bulldog 43 on their second possession the Eagles used the running game to move down to the 5, where a Cooper Koval to Jesse Horner pass ended with an Eagle touchdown. A Koval to Justin Wicks pass for the 2 point conversion had the Eagles out front 8-0 with 4:33 remaining in 1st quarter.

After the Bulldogs countered with a 65 yard drive of their own, and scored to close to within 8-6 the Eagles took possession at their own 38 after the kickoff and stayed with the ground game and pounded their way down to the six where Daudt ran around right end to score. Horner ran in the 2 point conversion and the Eagles led 16-6 with 7:26 left before half.

The Bulldogs then used their size, as once again the Eagles were smaller than their opposition at most positions. Running into the middle of the Eagles defense the Bulldogs scored to close the gap to 16-12. The next possession ended with an Eagle turnover and the Bulldogs drove in for the go ahead TD at 18-16 at the half.

A halftime adjustment helped shut down the Bulldog running game in the second half as the boys played a more aggressive defense. After a fumble recovery the Eagles took over on their own 21 and the offensive line started to dominate by opening up big holes as the Eagle run game kicked into gear. Alternating between Daudt and Horner runs, the Eagles punished the Bulldogs until a fumble near the goal line was recovered by the 'Dogs.

The Eagles defense then dug their talons in and forced a punt, taking over on the Carlton 32 yard line. Again the line opened holes and drove in for a one yard dive by Koval to take a 22-18 lead with just over 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Another 3 and out by the defense forced a punt and a nifty 25 yard return by Nornberg had the Eagles in business again at the Carlton 45. The Eagles ground game continued the drive ended with a four yard plunge by Horner. Another 2 point Koval to Wicks pass, had the Eagles up 30-18 with 5:49 left to play and ended the scoring for the evening.

Strong play by the offensive line opened up some holes for Daudt and Horner, who both gained over 100 yards and ended many of their runs by running over Bulldog defenders all night. The offense got back on track and racked up 436 total yards, 324 coming on the ground. The defense which has played with more tenacity the past few games continued to hit hard and gang tackle. Jake Trostle and Nornberg each had eight solo tackles with Horner adding seven and Wicks six.
