The early February schedule for the Eagle boy's basketball team was full of key match ups that will decide who they will face in the playoffs. The Eagles started a 4 game run against section opponents on February 12th when the Littlefork Vikings traveled to Northland. The Vikings were a scrappy team, but the Eagles came out with a 62-54 victory. They were led by Carson Johnson with 18 points off the bench. Alec Wake scored 15 including three-three pointers and Kane Perkins was strong inside with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Eagles then traveled to Hill City to face the Hornets. As usual the game was full of emotion and despite a late comeback that saw the Eagles pull within one after trailing by 12 with three minutes to go, the Hornets won 63-61.

The Eagles were done-in by hot shooting by their opponents and missing 18 free throws. A good team effort led by Cameron Wake on defense held Hill City's big man John Gowell to 15 points but Seth St. Martin hit five threes to offset his dip in scoring.

The Eagles were led by Cameron Wake and Kane Perkins with 15 points each. Both players had nine and 10 rebounds respectively. Alec Wake threw in 11 to round out the players in double figures.

In a Saturday game that was rescheduled due to weather, the Eagles hosted Southridge. The Eagles played solid, committing only 10 turnovers, but they could never overcome the athletic Panthers, losing 76-68. Carson Johnson played another strong game with 22 points and seven rebounds. Kane Perkins had 17 points and Cameron Wake contributed 13.

Tuesday the Cherry Tigers traveled to Remer to face the Eagles for the second time this year. The first game was a hard fought two point victory for Northland, but that was not the case this time. The Eagles dominated from the start and finished with a convincing 82-42 victory. Kane Perkins lead the way with 22 points followed up by Cameron Wake with 17 and Harris Carlson with 13.

The Eagles have a busy schedule coming up with 5 games in 8 days to finish out the regular season.[[In-content Ad]]
