Eagle struggles continue - fall to Hornets


The Northland Eagles hosted Hill City in a conference match-up Friday night with the home team searching for the right combination to put up their first win of the season. It was not to be as the boys fell to the Hornets 40-0.

Kevin Murphy led the Eagle offense with 72 yards on 4 carries and went 6 for 15 through the air. Patrick Kemper followed with 25 yards on the ground on 5 touches. Jordan Tabaka went 20 yards on 10 carries and added 15 yards on kick off returns and Ken Budreau added 14 yards on 3 carries with 42 yards on kick returns.

Defensively, Chris Scheidt had 11 tackles; Jason Perkins added 8; Shawn Hofius had 5 stops and Steve Grundman and Jake Zwart chipped in for 4 stops each.

The Eagles will host McGregor Wednesday night in a 7 p.m. matchup.[[In-content Ad]]
