Duane Everett Sepin
b. May 3, 1938 d. July 9, 2014
He was born May 3, 1938, in Dodge Center, MN and attended high school in Remer, MN. He married Debby Dickson on June 14, 1958 and together they raised 3 children on their farm near Boy River. In addition to farming Duane worked several jobs over the years. He worked for Erie Mining, worked in the construction field and also did carpentry work. He drew up a floor plan and along with volunteers built Zion Lutheran Church in Boy River. Duane was a school bus driver for the Remer-Longville school district and safely transported the area children to school for 49 years. He was also a long-time church and township board member. His interests included hunting, fishing, camping and farming. He loved to tell stories and enjoyed the times when the whole family would get together.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Debby, daughter Terri (Dick) Swenson of Esko MN, sons Ken (Rita) Sepin of Backus MN, Tom (Tina) Sepin of Boy River, MN; grandchildren Sarah and Sam Swenson, Mackenzie, Paige, Jake and Shane Sepin, Levi, Dustin and Dane Sepin; great grandchildren Tyler and Simon Sepin; step-father Bruce (Caroline)Brown, mother-in-law Lorraine Dickson, brothers John (Donna) Sepin, David (Robin) Brown, Rodney(Angie) Brown, sister Linda Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Sepin and Pearl Sepin Brown, sister Judy Erickson and father-in-law Virgil Dickson.
Services were held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Boy River and burial at Zion Island Cemetery, Boy River.[[In-content Ad]]
