An avid hunter and fisherman, Marsh was also a World War II veteran. He built a private practice in St. Paul before becoming a founding partner of Associated Dentists of St. Paul in 1973 and retiring in 1983. He was active in leadership positions in numerous professional and civic organizations and, in 1977, volunteered for several weeks at a mission dental clinic in the island nation of Madagascar.
In the late 1940's and in company of three friends, Marsh purchased land on the Boy River and built a hunting and fishing camp there. The place continues to host outdoorsmen much of the year. In 1975, he acquired a property on Big Boy Lake where he and Jennie built a home, were summertime residents and became close friends with a number of other area couples and families. Marsh and Jennie were regular attendees at Zion Lutheran Church in Boy River.
Funeral services were held October 2 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in St. Paul with burial at Ft Snelling National Cemetery.[[In-content Ad]]
