He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Douglas Audette; step-mother, Lorraine; son, Matthew Audette; and a brother, John Audette.
Doug is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons: Douglas (Maureen), Todd (Susanne), Armand (Brenda); his daughter Cheryl (John) Settlemire; grandchildren: David, Becky, Matthew, Amanda, Tony, Nicholas, Albert, Abagayle, Tia, Josh, Amber, and Devin; great-grandchildren: Emma, Eli, Ean and Kian; his brother, Tim (Mary); step-sisters: Marilyn Gay, Shirley Ofstedahl, Dorothy Westphal, Suzanne Cram, Mary Christopherson, Linda Fry; step-brother, Thomas Doherty, and many other family member and friends.
Doug served in the United States Navy, and retired from Wall-board in Minneapolis. He was also a member and Sgt. of the 4th Precinct Police Reserves for many years.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Longville Bible Chapel in Longville, MN. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Honorary casketbearers will be: Armand J. Larochelle, Donald Edwards, Joey Edwards, David Edwards, Roland Edwards and John Edwards. Military Honors will be provided by the Sherman A. Yochum VFW Post #772 of Longville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
