REMER - Dorothy M. Daniels, age 88 of Remer, Minnesota, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Grand Village in Grand Rapids. Dorothy was born in 1922 to Wilfred and Clara Barslou in Iowa and she grew up and attended school in the Boy River, MN area. She married Ernest John Daniels on October 26, 1940. They lived in Duluth, Minn., during World War II while Ernest worked in the shipyards. They moved to the farm in Remer in 1945. Following Ernest's death in 1990, Dorothy lived in an apartment in Remer, then later at Laurel Lodge until moving to Grand Village in 2009.

She is survived by: her three Children, Roger (Francy) Daniels of Remer; Judy (Clayton) Rabey of Grand Rapids; and Carl (Sharon) Daniels of Grand Rapids; three Sisters, Carole Russell of Grand Rapids; Leona Wake of Federal Dam; and Betty (Mark) Pantalion of St. Paul; two Brothers, Delbert "Bud" (Donna) Barslou of Boy River; and Jack (Anne) Barslou of St. Paul; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and Seven great-great-grandchildren

A graveside Service was held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, October 5th, with Mr. Eugene Godfrey officating, at Fairview Cemetery in Remer.
