Donna was born July 12, 1935 in Fillmore Township, MN to Enos and Dora (Frazer) Moon. She graduated from High School in Wykoff, MN and soon after became a nurse's aide in Rochester, MN. She was united in marriage to Roger Zwart and they farmed in Lake City, MN before moving to Longville, MN.
Donna was owner of North Star Nursery in Longville as well as a Craft and Hobby Shop. She was always busy. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, hobbies and crafts, gardening through the seasons and tending to indoor plants. She loved to watch 'her' birds especially 'her' hummingbirds. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would decorate the house inside and out. She loved to bake and made delicious cookies, breads and candies. No one ever left her house hungry. Donna loved her family dearly, and more than anything loved to watch her grandchildren grow and spoil them rotten. She seemed to touch the lives of everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
Donna is survived by her children, Lynn (JoAnn) Zwart and Jackie (David) Kitchenhoff, both of Longville; son-in-law, Clay Christopherson; grandchildren, Angie Zwart, Jacob Zwart, Dustin (Heather) Kitchenhoff, Lohna (Jacob) Wilkinson, Julian (Amanda) Kitchenhoff, Lindsy (Jeremiah) Johnsen, and Jessa (Chris) Layman; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Nevin (Betty) Moon of Rochester and Monna Clemons of LaCrosse, WI; and many other family members and friends (who were just like family).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Enos and Dora; husband, Roger; daughters, Rhea Christopherson and Theresa Zwart; son, Daniel Zwart; and grandsons, David Zwart, Dane Christopherson, and Jeremiah Zwart.
A combined Celebration of Life for Donna Zwart and her daughter, Rhea Christopherson will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville, MN.
