David "Butch" Harmon, 68, of Sun Prairie, passed away of natural causes on November 26, 2015 at his residence in the arms of his wife. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.

Butch was born on Feruary 27, 1947 to parents John and Eldora Harmon in Salem, OR. He was raised in Boy River, MN and is where he would later marry his beloved wife Marla of 44 years in 1971 at the Boy River Log Chapel. In 1968, Butch joined the United States Army Reserves where he proudly served his nation until 1972.

After his service with the Army Reserves, Butch worked in carpentry, logging, and for the last 13 years of his life, driving semi transporting grain for Columbia Grain in Montana. Butch had a love for old cars and pickups and spent countless hours searching to find the special few he would enjoy restoring. He also enjoyed hunting for antiques. Above all his interests and hobbies, Butch was a family man who was a devoted husband, and loving father to his children. He also had a very special relationship with his grandchildren whom he loved and cared for. Butch will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Butch is survived in death by his wife Marla; father, John "Rex" Harmon; sons, Brad, John, and Tom Harmon; sister, Darlene (Jim) Iverson, and 3 grandchildren; Lilly, Alicia, and Johnny.

He is preceded in death by his mother Eldora Harmon.
