Darlene Schafbuch, age 82, of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Maycreek Cottages in Walker, MN.

Darlene was born in 1938 to Rurick and Sophie Carlson in Minneapolis, MN. Married her lifetime spouse, Victor Schafbuch, at 23. Moved to South St. Paul and she started her family. Darlene was a devoted mother to three children. Soon after moving to Burnsville for the next 25 years. Darlene spent most of her time at home caring for her children. In the fall of each year Darlene worked at LifeTouch Studios as a touch up artist. Darlene loved architecture and contemporary homes. Darlene and Victor retired to Grand Rapids after they found their "round home" on Sylvan Bay. Darlene is follower of Jesus Christ and even though her days on earth are over she is alive more than ever in the presence of her King.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Victor in 2015; her parents; grandson, Noah Schafbuch; and her brother, Ron "Joe" Carlson.

She is survived by her daughter, Darla Schafbuch of Grand Rapids, MN; two sons, Jason (Heidi) Schafbuch of Longville, MN and Joel (Regina) Schafbuch of Swatara, MN; sister, Martha; brother, Dan (Cheri); and 9 grandchildren.

A private family service will be held, and burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, MN.
