Daniel Richard Chycner, age 22, of Remer, MN died on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Remer.

Daniel was born in 1989 in Shakopee, MN to Daniel and Mary Chycner. He lived in Motley, MN and attended school there where he enjoyed and excelled at wrestling winning many awards and titles. Daniel moved to Kenai, Alaska in 2003 where he attended high school. He moved to Remer in 2008. He was currently employed at Pat's Automotive in International Falls serving as an apprentice. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, dirt bikes, snowmobiling, music and being with his dog. He loved life and being outside and had a great respect for nature. Also, Daniel was very mechanically inclined with fixing a variety of things. He was loved by all and was very caring and always willing to help out someone in need. Daniel was a member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Chycner, and his maternal grandparents, James and Irene McBride.

He is survived by his mother, Mary McBride of Remer, MN; his father, Daniel Chycner of Duluth, MN; his paternal grandmother, Hazel Chycner, Winthrop, MN; one aunt, Deanna (Paul) Leverson of Savage, MN; and one cousin, Thomas Leverson of Savage, MN.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2010 from 12 Noon until the 1:00 P.M. Funeral Service in Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN. Rev. Lonnie Lee will officiate.
