Sheriff Tom Burch reports that the Cass County Sheriff's Office will be conducting radio coverage testing for the new 800 Mhz radio system that went live on April 17, 2012. This testing will occur from April 30th to May 18th. The testing ensures that the guaranteed coverage of the system has been met prior to final system acceptance by the county.

Testing requires Cass County officials to drive specific grids and stop at certain locations throughout the county. This will include testing from various residential driveways, business locations and field approaches in municipal and rural areas. The testing will be done with marked squad cars.
