Chevalier "Chevy" F. Krall
b. Dec. 16, 1930, d. March 21, 2011
He was born in Crosby on December 16, 1930 to Frank and Mabel (Ryan) Krall. He grew up in Crosby and graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School.
He was a US navy veteran serving in the Korean War. After serving in the military he returned back to Crosby and worked for several years for Hanna Mining.
He married Diane G. Englund on August 20, 1960 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Later they moved to the Twin Cities where he worked for Control Data until he retired in 1986.
In 1997 Chevy and Diane moved to their retirement home in Remer. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby; the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton and the Disabled Veterans.
Survivors include son, Chris Krall of St. Louis Park; daughters, Angie (Tim) Parks of Nowthen,
and Jill (Jeff) Smith of Nowthen; grandchildren, Chevy, Matthew, and Nick Parks, Carter and Lynnea Smith.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife Diane in 2009.
Funeral services will 11 am on Monday, March 28th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with military honors provided by the Myrin- James American Legion Post. Friends may call on Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 7 with a rosary at 6 pm.
