Cathy (Pogue) Godlove of Maricopa, AZ passed away at Ryan House Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix on April 14, 2020 at the age of 66. The family plans to hold a memorial service in the fall, with the location and date to be determined.

Cathy was born on December 27, 1953 in Monterey, CA to Vernon and Barbara (High) Pogue. She grew up in Phoenix. On April 12, 1974 she married Jack Godlove. In 1976 they moved to Indiana where Cathy ran a home daycare. In 1989 they moved to Minnesota where she was a substitute teacher for 13 years before moving back to Arizona where she taught in preschools, elementary schools and charter schools for 17 years, most recently in Maricopa at Bright Minds Preschool and Leading Edge Academy. Cathy began teaching Sunday school when she was in high school.

Cathy loved spending time and playing games with family. Cathy was a friend to all, always smiling and positive, and her great love for kids and Christmas were obvious to all who knew her.

Cathy is survived by Jack, her husband of 46 years, daughter Karen (Scott) Worden of MN and son Robert Godlove of AZ; grandsons Mason and Mekhi Godlove; mother Barbara Pogue and sisters Angie (Perry) Pogue and Sandy Pogue, all of AZ; and a large extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father Vernon Pogue and parents-in-law Bob and Clara Godlove.
