PINE RIVER - The Cass County Economic Development Corporation will again be offering free technology workshops at the Community Computer Lab in Pine River. For the months of November and December, these workshops are scheduled from 6-9 p.m.

Workshops include: Mondays - MS Excel 1; Tuesdays - MS Publisher 2010; Wednesdays - Google Documents; and Thursdays - Windows 7.

The excel workshop includes doing spreadsheets with formulas and formatting. In the Publisher workshop on Tuesday, you will learn how to create newsletters and brochures. Google Docs will be focusing on creating, forms, organizing and uploading to Google Docs. Windows 7 on Thursdays will review tips and shortcuts to get the most out of your operating system.

Students can take on-line classes from Central Lakes College during open lab time from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. The lab is located at 980 1st Street S in Pine River. Contact lab coordinator, Sean Wilkus at 218-587-2474 or Kari at the EDC office, 218-947-7523, to register for workshops. There is a limit of five attendees at each workshop.

This is part of our effort to decrease unemployment and support local businesses. The free training will be available for the next nine months.
