Cass County Economic Development Corporation to hold annual meeting
"Community Economics - Moving from Ideas to Action," will be the title of U of M Leader and Keynote Speaker, Michael Darger's talk. Darger, Director of the University of MN Community Economics Program will speak. Darger has a wide range of experience in economics including managing the Business Retention and Expansion (B,R and E) Program since 1999. Prior to that, he spent ten years in local economic positions, county government and with non profit organizations. He also has experience in commercial banking and marketing.
Darger has a B.A. in Economics and Management from Albion College in Michigan and an MBA from the University of Michigan. His affiliations include being President-Elect of the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals and former board member of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota. In 2008, Darger received the Distinguished Outstanding Leadership award from the U of M Extension Dean and Director. In 2007, he received the George Morse Award for Major Contributions from B, R and E International for co-leading projects in Lyon County and Swift County, MN.[[In-content Ad]]
