Carol was born on August 7, 1935 in Pine River, MN to Henry and Rachel (Kinler) Robideau. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Longville, MN where she attended school and grew into a young woman. She was united in marriage to Terry Johnston in 1952. This union was blessed with four children: Lorri, Lita, Libbey and Lesli. They made their home on a farm near Longville where they raised beef cattle. Carol provided a warm and loving home for her family. She was down to earth and instilled humility and a hard work ethic in her children and grandchildren.
Carol was a wonderful cook and baker who will be remembered for her homemade meals and desserts. She loved the birds that graced her property and enjoyed watching them at the many feeders around her yard. She had a green thumb and could be found weeding her vegetable garden or tending to her flower beds on warm summer mornings. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy in life.
She will be lovingly remembered by three daughters: Lorri (George) McAdams, Libbey (Frank) Marenghi and Lesli (Joe) Robison; five grandchildren: Heather Becker, Jesse Mix, Ethan Thompson, Seth Robison and Brenna Robison; five great-grandchildren: Jaleah Mix, Ilyanna Mix, Adren Thompson, Mila Thompson and Terryn Thompson; her brother, Al Scheibe; two sisters: Vicki Legvold and Becky Norton; her sister-in-law, Ila (Ira) Smart; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry; her daughter, Lita; and two sisters: Audrey and Danielle.
A memorial service was held Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Longville Bible Chapel in Longville, MN. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements were provided by the Midwest Cremation Association / Dennis Funeral Home (www.dennisfuneralhome.com).[[In-content Ad]]
