Carol Anna Goose
b. March 17, 1966, d. March 19, 2011
Carol was born March 17, 1966 in Cass Lake, Minn., to Samuel and Caroline (Paper) Goose, Jr. She grew up in the Battle Point area, attending Longville Elementary and Remer High School.
Following her schooling she worked as a Black Jack Dealer at Northern Lights Casino for 13 years. For the last few years she worked as a cook for the Elderly Nutrition Program. Carol was also active in her community, serving on the Battle Point Pow Wow committee, and the Sugar Point Local Council.
She loved to cook, and will be remembered for her legendary fry bread. She was an avid softball player, a Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan, and always had time to shoot a game of pool. Carol loved to dance and sing, attend pow wow's, and maintain her marathon Yahtzee game with her sister, Eva. She always took time to read and spend time with her family. Carol always had a smile, was persistent and quick to speak her mind, and will be missed by all in her circle of family and friends.
Carol is survived by her sisters; Eva (Steve) Mangum, Loretta Monroe, Iolanthe (Jerry) Wilson, Mary Lou Reich, brothers; Rick Goose, Terrance (Eva) White, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Samuel K. Goose III, Patty Monroe, Norma Monroe, cousins, Jeremee Kraskey and Tanya Monroe, and great great nephew, Thunder.
Traditional services will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sugar Point Community Center with Allen Hardy as the Spiritual Leader. The Wake will begin at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Sugar Point Community Center and run until service time. Interment will be in Battle Point Cemetery.
