Cabin Succession planning workship Aug. 27
The family cabin or shoreland property can be a family's most treasured asset. The workshop will provide an overview of different legal and estate planning tools for passing down the family cabin and property to the next generation.[[In-content Ad]]Margaret Cronin, founding partner of the law firm Grandchamp, Guyette & Cronin in Wayzata, Minnesota, will discuss basic legal and logistical considerations, including cabin trusts and limited liability companies, to help you determine if cabin succession planning is right for you. Each participant will receive a copy of Ms. Cronin's planning guide and receive handy checklists and sample rules and guidelines for the family manager. Paula West, executive director of the Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation, will discuss various conservation options to consider in planning for your property's future.
