Burch, Strandlie announce intention to run for re-election

WALKER - Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch and Cass County Attorney Christopher Strandlie have announced their intention to run for re-election for their respective posts.

Burch was elected Sheriff in 2010 and has 28 years experience with the Cass County Sheriff's Office, served 10 years as Chief Deputy and eight years as Sergeant.

"It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Cass County and I look forward to the challenges of the next four years as Sheriff," commented Burch.

Strandlie joined the Cass County Attorney's Office in 2001 and served as the first assistant from 2003 until becoming County Attorney in March 2008.

"I'm proud of the relationships that we have developed with the Cass County Board, Department Heads and the various county, tribal municipal, state and federal law enforcement agencies and we continuously work to find solutions to the relationship of drugs and alcohol to all crimes, particularly domestic violence," stated Strandlie.

Both candidates reside in Cass County and are active volunteers with various civic organizations.[[In-content Ad]]
