Brian J. (Jeff) Burks, Age 76 of Hackensack, (Woman Lake Lodge), passed away peacefully October 1, 2016. He will be sadly missed by Sons: Jeff (Lori), Matt (Bonnie), Grandchildren: Alex, Alina and Austin, Sister: Lynne Seward (John); many sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews.

Jeff was a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, served as an officer in the Marine Corps, worked at 3M and EcoLab for a combined 25+ years before fulfilling his dream of owning a fishing resort in northern Minnesota (Woman Lake Lodge), which he owned and operated with his sons, and their families for the last 25 years. Some of his passions were: hunting, fishing, wood carving, joke telling and he also fostered many Golden Retrievers for RAGOM.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, Minnesota, with visitation to begin one hour prior.
