Bobby Dale Archer, age 92, of Remer, MN, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Autumn Lane Assisted Living in Cohasset, MN.

Bobby was born in 1927 to Lewis and Hattie Archer in Aniwa, WI where he also grew up and attended school. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he worked for a company that installed power lines which led him to reside in Federal Dam, MN. On September 15, 1951 Bobby was united in marriage to Anna Neururer. Bobby was then employed as a lineman for Dairyland Electric and relocated to Remer, MN where he operated the Dairyland outpost for the Remer/Leach Lake/and Hill City area. He retired from Dairyland Electric in April of 1990.

Along with his line work, Bobby farmed, raised beef cattle, processed maple syrup and processed wild rice, having built his own system for the processing. Along with all that, Bobby found time to log the trees from their property and build their beautiful log home.

Bobby loved to play baseball, fish and hunt. He took several trips to Canada for moose hunting. He enjoyed trapping and reading and was a practical joker. Bobby instilled his love of nature in his children and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his parents; son, Jerry Archer; two brothers; and three sisters.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anna; three daughters, Dianne Archer of LaPorte, MN, Joanne (Hugh) Krause of Turtle River, MN and Sharon (James) Moran of Grand Rapids, MN; four sons, Dennis Archer of Superior, WI, Douglas (Laurie) Archer of Baxter, MN, James (Angie) Archer of North Mankato, MN and Gregory (Jodi) Archer of Remer, MN; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Remer, MN. Fr. Keith Bertram will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, Remer, MN.
