The Backus Lions, like a lot of other organizations, is having to cancel our fund raising events this year. We cancelled our Annual Yard Sale, Fly in Pancake Breakfast and, due to a late season freeze of crops, our annual Peach Sale. We are hoping we can still hold our annual Craft and Bake Sale in November but that remains to be seen. Despite all of that, we still want to support our community as best as we can. We have the food shelves in Hackensack and Pine River, our First Responders and Fire Department that we contribute to, Scholarships for high school seniors, Christmas for Children in the Pine River/Backus area, other PRB School events and many other fund requests that we get that we really want to continue to support. This is where you can help us.

We are having a "CATCH THE CASH" NO TOUCH FUND RAISER. This will be held August 22nd in the Backus American Legion parking lot from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Drive in, deposit your contribution in the net held out to you as you stay safe in your car, circle around and drive out. What could be easier! You will be helping us continue supporting our community as you always have through our events and we can continue our support of the community and you.
