Audacity?
In July 2004, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. One phrase in particular anchored itself in listeners' minds, a reminder that for all the discord and struggle to be found in our history as a nation, we have always been guided by a dogged optimism of a better future, or what Obama called "the audacity of hope."
Today, Barrack Obama is now the executive, the "CEO" of the United States. He and the First Lady both have their own jets. They both fly around in the biggest, most expensive public corporate jets followed by their entourage in support aircraft. They now live as high on the hog and as extravagantly as any human on earth will ever achieve. And... for him to point the finger at legitimate corporate CEOs with their little corporate jets and preach to them class warfare... It truly is "the audacity of a dope..." doggedly anchored in audacity.
