Area schools compete in Bemidji Invitational
Bemidji took top honors in both boys and girls events. WHA girls finished 15th overall with PRB in 23rd. For the boys, DRN finished in 12th position with WHA in 23rd.
Individual girls results had Brenna Kennedy of WHA finishing fifth in the 200m dash in 28.90 seconds. The 400m dash had Kennedy in third place with 1:04.11, followed by Tara Anderson of WHA in eighth with 1:08.30 and Kristina Harder of DRN in 15th at 1:10.83. The 1600m run had Julia Ruohoniemi of PRB in seventh position at 6:06.20 and Hannah Myers of DRN in 16th position at 6:24.00. In the 3200m run Abigail Peterson of WHA finished 10th in 13:34.91 and Victoria Sechser of PRB finished 16th in 15:09.00. The 60m hurdles had Anderson in ninth place in 11.01 seconds. Sophia Rajala finished 10th in high jump with a height of 4-06.00.[[In-content Ad]]Individual boys results include: Dustin Ovitt of WHA finishing 13th in the 200m dash. Josh Widman took 5:15.87 to finish ninth in the 1600m run. The 3200m run had Drey Loge of PRB in seventh place with 11:22.65 and right on his heels was team mate TJ Lukanen with 11:28.45 and Jesse Kent in 11th in 12:01.57. In the 4x200m relay WHA made the top ten with a ninth place finish of 1:45.83. In the 4x800m, WHA placed ninth in 9:31.63 and PRB in 13th ran in 10:07.32. DRN's Kevin Drotts finished fifth in high jump at 5-06.00 and Caleb Ginos of WHA ninth in 5-06.00. Drotts dominated the pole vault with a 13-06.00 vault. In triple jump Austin Saxon of DRN landed in seventh position with 37-09.00, followed by Jonathon Peterson in ninth at 36-05.00. Shot put had Anthony Fisher of WHA in eighth place with 42-03.00 and Christopher Zimmer of WHA at 40-00.50.
