DASSEL - Andrea S. (Torkelson) Reed, age 64, formerly of Longville, passed away April 3, 2012, at the Lakeview Ranch, in Dassel, Minn., after a long fight with Alzheimer's. She was born December 2, 1947, in Brainerd, to Ted and Irene (Vargo) Torkelson. Andrea graduated from Pine River High School. She lived in Iowa for many years before settling down in Longville on Maple Lake. She ran a successful greenhouse business following her passion for gardening. She also enjoyed traveling the country for leisure.

Andrea is survived by her children: Treva Burrington (Dave), Jackie Batchelder (Jim); four grandchildren; siblings: Doris Rathman (Joe), Martin Torkelson (Dana), Ray Torkelson (Carol), Katherine Stephan (Steve); five nieces; and special friend, Virgil Pofahl.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant grandson.

Memorials are preferred to Lakeview Ranch, 22851 Hwy. 15 South, Dassel, MN 55325.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9 at Kline Funeral Home, in Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Kedron Cemetery, rural Pequot Lakes. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.[[In-content Ad]]
