Allan E. Bradshaw, 82, of Hackensack, MN, died Thursday July 21, among friends.

Allan was born to Elza and Hilda Bradshaw in Peoria, IL, on January 15, 1934. The Bradshaws moved to Hackensack in 1944, where they became a fixture in the community. Allan attended the Hackensack school. He later graduated from the North Central School of Agriculture in Grand Rapids, MN. After graduation he became a journeyman mechanic in the Hackensack- Backus area. Allan married Ann (Brennan) of Hackensack in 1956 and shortly thereafter they moved to Southern California to pursue the American dream.

Allan continued his career path working in hot rod shops and garages in California, plying his trade as a mechanic and fabricator. He became the chief fabricator on an ambitious project to break the World Land Speed Record with the first jet powered car ever, the Flying Caduceus, of Dr. Nathan Ostich.

In 1964 he was hired by Chrysler Corporation as a training center instructor. His experience with jet power brought him into the experimental Chrysler Turbine Car program as a field representative and promotions came quickly. Allan retired in 1991 as Regional Training Manager, in St. Louis, MO, after 26 years.

Upon retirement Allan and Ann returned home to Hackensack. An avid fisherman, Al was a founding member of the Barnum Lake lake association and became a gracious steward of the neighborhood.

Allan is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Ron (Joan), Mark (Ann); daughter, Wendy; grandchildren, Bill, Jeffery, Katie, Nicholas, Zachary; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Lois (Bob) Baier and Jeanie (Gene) Eggen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elza and Hilda, and his brother, Glenn Bradshaw.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.[[In-content Ad]]
