Cass County Board: Over $572k Available from new MN COVID Relief Grant
BACKUS - Cass County recently received an additional $572,888 COVID-19 Relief Grant funding for disbursement within the county.

Commissioners at the Tuesday, Jan. 5, board meeting had lengthy discussions on eligibility requirements, funding amounts to eligible businesses and how to prioritize disbursements to area businesses.

Cass County Board: County Officials Honor Outgoing Commissioner Downham
BACKUS - After 14 years of service on the Cass County Board of Commissioners, Dick Downham is saying goodbye.

Commissioner Neal Gaalswyk presented a plaque of service to Downham at the Tuesday, Dec. 15 Cass County board meeting. Downham said it had been a pleasure to work alongside the other commissioners and wished the incoming commissioner, Rick Haaland, well.

Cass County, Leech Lake Officials meet in annual joint session
CASS LAKE - The Cass County Board and the Leech Lake Tribal Council met for their annual joint meeting Monday, Nov. 30 at Cedar Lakes Event Center in Cass Lake.

County Administrator Josh Stevenson stated that this is the sixth year the county commissioners and the tribal council have met since entering into a memorandum of understanding in 2015.
