Cass County Board: Despite objections, county considers establishing gravel pits
BACKUS - Cass County started the process of establishing its own gravel pits to be used for county needs.

At the Cass County Board's Tuesday, March 2 meeting, County Administrator Josh Stevenson led the discussion of beginning the process for county gravel pits to be established in section three of Pine River Township and section 19 of Walden Township.

Cass County Board: County will continue offering COVID-19 relief grants
BACKUS - Cass County will continue to disperse COVID-19 relief fund grants to area business and organizations.

County Administrator Josh Stevenson presented the consent agenda with a request to pull and discuss the COVID-19 relief grant applications at the regular board of commissioners meeting Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Cass County Board: 14.3% of Cass County residents receive COVID-19 Vaccine
BACKUS - COVID-19 vaccine in Cass County is being distributed as it becomes available, but currently the allocation has been limited, county officials said.

About 14.3% of Cass County residents have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, public health nurses Jamie Richter and Gina Zubke informed the Cass County Board at its Tuesday, Feb. 16, meeting.
