Cass County Board Addresses Land and Water Access Concerns
WALKER-Land Commissioner Kirk Titus requested the board approve the installation of a gate at the Homebrook Hunter Walking Trail at the Tuesday, June 1 regular county board meeting. Titus stated that this spring the gate at the parking area of the Homebrook Hunder Walking Trail had been pulled out and damaged, therefore motorized vehicles are entering the trail from this location.

Cass County Board: Endbridge assessments may effect Cass taxpayers
POWERS TOWNSHIP - The second "road show" meeting found the commissioners in Powers Township on Tuesday, June 15 with commissioner Neal Gaalswyk being absent.

County Administrator Josh Stevenson requested the board adopt a resolution in regards to recent property tax decisions concerning the market value of Enbridge Energy, L.P.'s state-assessed property for assessment years 2012-2014 and 2015-2016.

Cass County Board Returns to Walker Courthouse Facility
WALKER - After 15 months the Cass County Commissioners met in the Boardroom at the Cass County Courthouse Tuesday, June 1 for a regular board meeting.

Sheriff Tom Burch was on hand to request the board approve invoicing all Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) users for their radios.

Cass County Board: Commissioners take Board Meetings on the Road for the Summer
BACKUS - Cass County commissioners have begun their annual "road show" meetings held at various town halls around Cass County for the summer, with the first stop being at Loon Lake Township Hall.

Commissioner Scott Bruns joined the Tuesday, May 18 meeting via phone with all other commissioner's present at the town hall.

Cass County Board: County buildings reopen to public
BACKUS - The Cass County board approved restoring public access to county buildings at the Tuesday, May 4 Cass County Board meeting. County Administrator Josh Stevenson stated with decreased COVID-19 case activity and vaccine clinics having available appointments, it is recommended to allow public access to county buildings beginning Wednesday, May 5.

BACKUS - Cass County continues to see record permit activity.

Environmental Services Director John Ringle, speaking at the Tuesday, April 20 Cass County Board meeting said permit activity in 2020 was the greatest it had been in over 13 years and, after reviewing the activity for the first quarter of 2021, this year is shaping up to be even busier.

BACKUS- Timber sales were slightly higher in 2020 with aspen continuing to be the highest timber sold, Land Commissioner Kirk Titus presented the timber sale information during his annual report Tuesday, April 20, to the Cass County Board of Commissioners.
