LACF COVID-19 Emergency Relief and Response Fund

The Longville Area Community Foundation (LACF) is now accepting applications to its newly formed Emergency Relief and Response Fund. The purpose of the fund is to give grants to small businesses and organizations who have been negatively and significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. All those who apply must have a business or the organization must be located in the Longville Area Community Foundation service area.

"With the recent shelter in place orders and the continued occupancy restrictions, our community needs our support now more than ever," said LACF Chair Colleen Moravak. "Our top priority is making sure that this fund is being used to help those who have been significantly financially impacted by COVID-19." Small businesses can apply for grants of up to $2,000 to cover reimbursable expenses. Examples of expenses include, but are not limited to, utility bills, inventory purchases, and ongoing expenses that could have been paid had the pandemic not occurred. If accepted to receive a grant, small businesses will be asked to submit a receipt for their expenses before funds are distributed.  The first round of awards will be for $1,000 and an additional award of up to $1,000 will be made after July 10 if funds remain available.

Applications can be found at www.longvillefoundation.org  Completed applications can be submitted by email to longvillefoundation@gmail.com or by mail to Longville Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 92, Longville, MN 56655. Applications will be reviewed on a weekly basis.
