Renewable energy tour and film screening hosted by Deep Portage Feb. 8

On the afternoon of Saturday, February 8 from 1-4 p.m, the public is invited to Deep Portage Learning Center to watch a new documentary called "The Power of Minnesota" that tells the story of how clean energy is making local economies throughout our region even stronger.

More than just a film screening, during this free event attendees will get to tour renewable energy installations at Deep Portage Learning Center-including solar, wind, and biomass-to see how they can power their own lives with clean energy. There will also be plenty of time for conversation and networking-with snacks!

• 1 p.m. - The Power of Minnesota Documentary Film

• 1:30 p.m. - Community discussion & refreshments

• 2:30 p.m. - Renewable energy tour of Deep Portage Learning Center including wood gasification, wind power, and 3 types of solar systems: solar thermal (hot air), solar thermal (hot water), and solar energy (PV)!

This event is co-hosted by: Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs), Deep Portage Learning Center, Cass County Izaak Walton League, Hackensack Lakes Area Community Foundation, and Hackensack Game Changers.
