Holiday Music Programs and Academic Showcase at NHS

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!" - Elf (Film)

This year Northland Schools is doing something a little different for the Holiday season. The elementary students Pre-K through second grade are holding their annual holiday music program Thursday, December 12 beginning at 7 p.m. in the elementary gym at Northland School. The third through sixth grades are hosting an academic showcase before the concert beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Come early and visit the third and fourth grade classrooms for their publishing party, which will showcase various stories written by the students. Head over to the commons at 6:00, 6:15 or 6:30 to see a Readers Theater Skit: The Goofy Reindeer presented by the fifth graders. If you enjoy story time then be sure to make your way upstairs to listen to one or two stories told by a six grader about family traditions.

Light snacks and refreshements will be available to nibble on while walking around and enjoy this academic showcase.

On Monday, December 16 beginning at 7 p.m. the seventh through twelvth grade choir and band led by Carissa Anderson and Josey Gruba will perform their winter concert in the high school gym. All events are free and open to the public.

Whatever you want to enjoy this holiday season make sure to stop by the school and see what fun the children in the community are having and how they are being academically challenged.
