Labor Day Weekend traditions continue Boy River Hobo Day this Saturday

The annual Boy River Hobo Day returns this Saturday, August 31. It's time to dig out your knapsack and hop the train over to Boy River for the celebration. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with events happening all day long, concluding with a hopping dance.

Beginning at 9 a.m. will be the Trap Shoot and Flea Market. At noon, the Hobo Day Parade leaves the station. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place as well as a Best Hobo prize.

Delicious Hobo Stew gets served at 12:30 p.m. with "Shoot a Minnow" Bingo at 1 p.m.

Beginning at 1:30 p.m., test your arm at the bean bag competition. After you've worked up an appetite, try a scrumptious pie from the Pie Auction taking place at 3 p.m.

All day take advantage of mug, sweatshirt, button and t-shirt sales. You can also play your own tune with karaoke by Don Sherman or listen to the sounds of Young Country! The drawing from the Hobo Club Raffle will take place at 5 p.m. Tickets are $1 with prizes for 1st ($500), 2nd ($300) and 3rd ($200).
