Join the celebration for Remer's 72nd Annual Harvest Festival! This year Harvest Festival begins Friday, August 9 at 5 p.m. along the Soo Line Trail with the Flea Market.
After browsing through the various vendors at the flea market, head on over to The Pub at 5:30 for the meat raffle and then stick around for some live music by Peggy & The Blaze from 8 p.m. - Midnight.
Saturday morning kicks off with Pancake Breakfast from 8 - 10 a.m. at the Historic Depot. Adults wanting a pick-me-up from a late night or a kick for the afternoon can visit Walt's Bloody Mary Bar beginning at 8 a.m. outside the Depot.
Don't forget to come on down to Airport Road at 9 a.m. for the Trap Shoot. Or stay on Main Street and get in on St. Paul's Bucket Raffle.
New this year will be a Corn Feed at the Depot Beer Garden beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Harvest Festival's Kids Parade will begin at 11:45 a.m. With the 72nd annual Remer Harvest Festival parade beginning at noon. Line up for the Main Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. by the Gazebo, be ready to roll at noon!
Winners will be announced after Bingo at the Depot, which begins at 2 p.m.
Parade prizes will be awarded for the following categories: $50 for Most Theme Oriented Entry, $50 for Most Humorous Entry, $50 for Best Entry by a Business or Organization and $50 for Best Entry by a Family or Individual.
Throughout the day plenty of activities are scheduled all along Main Street. Here you can grab a bite to eat and drink at the various food vendors and the Beer Cart. The Kids Games are back in action and the Flea Market and Crafters will present their creations. Check out the talent and gifts, there is something for everyone.
After a fun filled day you can wind down by either heading to the Muni for the Street Dance from 7 - 11 p.m. featuring the live music of "Gigfoot" or head on down to The Pub and listen to "The Buzzards" from 8 p.m. - Midnight.
The 72nd Remer Harvest Festival offers Lakeland area residents and visitors an enjoyable weekend of family activities next Friday and Saturday in Remer.
