Cass County Sheriff Burch announces re-election intentions

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch has announced his intention to run for re-election for the Office of Cass County Sheriff. Sheriff Burch states it has been an honor to serve the citizens of Cass County and looks forward to the challenges of ever changing law enforcement. Burch was first elected Sheriff in 2010 and has served with Cass County Sheriff's Office for 32 years.

Through cross-training, re-assignments and technology, the Sherriff's Office has lowered its response time to calls for service and has worked aggressively on crime clearance rates.

Sheriff Burch's capacity to continue to serve efficiently is enhanced by his 26 years of proven budgetary and supervisory experience within the Office. Burch intends to maintain the department's reputation for progressive law enforcement and adapt departmental goals and priorities to meet the challenging and demanding needs of Cass County law enforcement. Burch will continue to provide fiscally responsible budgeting, experience-based planning and an on-going integration of technology with daily operations to provide fair and equal law enforcement services to the citizens and visitors of Cass County.

Burch is a lifelong resident of Cass County and resides in Remer with his wife, Gina. Their three daughters are college graduates and are employed in professional capacities in the area.
