Sweetheart Days in Hackensack and what a sweetheart of a day we had. 142 kids caught and released 396 fish and along with their families joined us to partake in the beautiful sunshine. Many fish were caught, including a 12.3 oz Northern this week. But the highlighted catch were two turtles! We had so many people at the contest today that we sunk the right half of the dock temporarily. We even had a car cruising across the lake. When it came up to the public landing, it drove right out of the water. It was another wonderful day at the Hackensack "Bob Kennedy" Memorial City Pier. Make sure to mark your calendars to join us each Tuesday!
Our Hot Dog Sponsor this week - In honor of our past volunteers that we have lost through the years. Bob "The Father of HCFC" Kennedy, Bob "Dr. Death" Duncan, Mel Rateike, Dick Kuns, Anna Kern, Bert Kern, Elroy Erdman and Lenny Keifer. We miss you all and are thankful for creating such a great legacy that we are happy to continue.
