[ST. PAUL, MN] - Wednesday, May 13, Governor Tim Walz announced the next phase of the COVID-19 response in Minnesota. Citing progress made to prepare for peak of infection, the Governor announced a measured, cautious turning of the dial toward a new normal.

For the time being, The Margaret Welch Memorial Library building along with the other eight Kitchigami Regional Library branches will continue to be closed to the public. The region and staff are continuing to work on the planning phases of re-opening with modified access.

[ST. PAUL, MN] - Wednesday, May 13, Governor Tim Walz announced the next phase of the COVID-19 response in Minnesota. Citing progress made to prepare for peak of infection, the Governor announced a measured, cautious turning of the dial toward a new normal. With the Stay Home Executive Order set to expire on May 18, the Governor will replace it with an order continuing to encourage Minnesotans to stay close to home but allowing for gatherings of friends and family of 10 people or less.

The Pine River Area Food Shelf is open for business. The Food Shelf is located downtown Pine River and is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
