Walker competes at State and returns with a Champion
This past Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 marked the final tournament of the competitive speech season in Minnesota. Teams from around the state, with their advancing speakers in tow, traveled to Wayzata High School to compete at the Minnesota State High School League state speech tournament.

The Northland School Board met Monday, March 11 at Northland High School, Remer, for the regular monthly meeting.

The evening began with the Northland special education (SPED) staff addressing the board with concerns of potential upcoming insufficient staff for the special education students due to a resignation effective June 2019.

DNR announces CWD response efforts in Crow Wing County
Following the discovery of chronic wasting disease in a wild deer in Crow Wing County, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is offering landowner shooting permits and will be working with willing landowners to allow the U.S. Department of Agriculture to remove additional deer on their properties.
