Richard Rudolph Stefanoc, 78, of Brainerd, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. Francis Catholic Church with a visitation for one hour prior. Interment with Military Honors will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Richard was born August 18, 1942, in Minneapolis, the son of Rudolph and Katherine (Novak) Stefanoc. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Army and served his country for three years. He worked for AT&T for 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and pushing his luck at the casino. He was the ultimate host and he and Sandra liked entertaining family and friends. They also enjoyed traveling.
He will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Sandra; sister-in-law, Pat Depew; brother-in-law, John Zych; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Zych, brothers-in-law, Walter (Ann) Stein, Bob (Gloria) Stein, Louis (Dolores) Stein; and sisters-in-law, Donna (Jerry) Wilhelmi and Jean (Wally) Hanus.
