Crystal M. Miller
b. 1987 d. Aug. 29, 2020

Crystal M. Miller, age 33, of Appleton, WI, formerly of Swatara, MN, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Milwaukee, WI from complications while waiting for a transplant.

Crystal was born in 1987 in Detroit Lakes, MN. She graduated from Northland High School in Remer, MN in 2006. She went on to join the United States Army.

During Crystal's time in the United States Army she was stationed in Germany. She served during the surge of the Afghanistan War under the 18th Military Police Brigade to combat the Global War on Terrorism. She conducted numerous combat patrols, tactical site exploitations and quick reaction force missions to aid distressed sister units under attack by enemy forces. Following deployment, she was stationed in Virginia. Crystal was a lifetime member of the VFW. She was very proud to serve her country.

After her discharge, she made her home in Appleton, WI, where she raised her three children. Crystal's light shown the brightest when she was with Jay, Christian, and Juliette. You could literally see her love for them in every moment she was with them. There was nothing in her life more important than her beautiful children

Crystal always had a kind and giving personality and wanted to help those in need. She had an infectious laugh and was a bright spot in any room. Crystal will be missed by so many people. Everyone who was her friend became her family. She loved deeply and fiercely.

Preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Welsh; grandmother, Eva Welsh; grandfather, Carl Nelson; and uncles, Mark Flood and Wesley Welsh.

Crystal is survived by her daughter, Juliette Grace; sons, Jay Daniel, Christian James; parents, Edward Randberg, Shelly Jerome, Heather and Luke Holter; sisters, Amanda (Lloyd) Midba-Neisen, Katie (Justin) Ahles, Leslie (Corey VanWert) Randberg, Lindsey (Joe Fear) Randberg, Tina Barnett, JaymiAnn Holter, Mary Holter, LaVertta Holter, Paulina Holter; brothers, Myron Jerome, Jesse Jerome, Jamie Jerome, Luke (Shyanne Erickson) Holter, Mark Holter, John Holter, Michael Holter; her grandparents and great grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and Goddaughter, Lola.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 5:00-7:00PM at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Longville, MN and continued on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM, also at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at St. Edward's Catholic Church. Fr. Mike Patullo will officiate. Full military honors will be accorded by Sherman A. Yocum Post #772 V.F.W. Color Guard immediately following the funeral mass at the church. Burial will be at Windy Lake Cemetery, Smokey Hollow Township, MN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to help with the financial burden of Crystal's unexpected death.
