March 29, 1923

   Miss Martha Brevik, teacher at the Boe School, was elected Treasurer of Boy Lake Township, 

   Regular services will be held at the Silver Lake School every Sunday at 2:00.

   Peter Strom who has been Section Boss in Federal Dam for the past two years has moved.

75 Years Ago

March 19, 1948

   Mrs. Melvin Willard is the new clerk at the Glasco store in Hackensack.

   James Hein, former owners of Merit Lodge on Leech Lake purchased the New Remer hotel owned by J.W. Miller.

   The John Falks recently moved from the Kearns cottage to their new home on the point of south shore of Birch Lake.

March 22, 1973

   Dorothea Felton, Arvilla Thompson, and Myrtle Livgard did some quilting on Thursday afternoon at the church.

   Mr. and Mrs. Keith Woodford and family visited with Don Patrick and girls and Don Perrault in MacGregor.

   Mr. and Mr. Curtis Shepard and Mr. Will Shepard were Brainerd shoppers. Mrs. Will Shepard lunched with her brother, Jim Hardy. Curtis and Lucille had lunch with her mother, Jessie Brant.

March 24, 1998 

   Longville Elementary School Principal Todd Savolainen provides a helping hand to James Tabaka in the construction of 50 Wood Duck houses by the 5th and 6th grade classes.

   Darlene Bogue and Marty Man of the Union Congregational church of Hackensack and Marge Wenzel of St. Edward’s Catholic church of Longville recently completed parish nurse training.

   The Salem Lutheran church of Longville had red oak pews installed which will seat 250.
