Do you have a green thumb? Make plans now to attend garden classes at The Hub in Hackensack (next to the Post Office) beginning at 10:30 a.m. and learn how to make that green thumb greener!
The first class is Monday, March 5 and will focus on Fragrant Flowers - getting more from flowers - repeat bloomers - self seeders.
The March 12 class will highlight roses and other hardy plants - late frost and ways to use wood ash.
On March 19, bulb planting using the "lasagna method" and healing plants.
The April 16 planting class will be held at Country Gardens on Hwy. 371 north of Backus. The $19.50 fee includes basket, soil, additives and maintenance. They will hold your basket until the end of May. Plants are an additional charge.
There is no charge for the classes, however, the Hub requires a $1.50 fee per person, per class for use of the facilities.
